FURAHIDAY :)

In Kenya, weekends start when you want them to start. I know many people who can't tell the difference between the week and weekend. My weekend would like to start on Thursday(you know when you get a certain thirst and any song you hear on the radio is a jawn you would def dance to ;) i'm sure u all know what i'm talking about!!)

My friends from the coastish place wen I went to instead of opening sxool are in town. I'm one of those people who randomly do stuff and pull some daring stuff :D I was supposed to open school on 8th of a certain month(i want to remain anonymous for as long as I can) but instead I decided to take a road trip to a coastish town w/in East Africa. If you live in a hostel, its easy to do that bcoz you don't see your folks much but unfortunately, I live with my parents so explaining to them that I want to go to a COASTISH TOWN w/in East Africa for two weeks instead of going school which they have paid about Kshs. 100,000 for is clearly not an easy thing BUT my dad and I....we are tight so I asked him and convinced him(thank God I do law!lol) and he said yes and the next day, I was off to Dar at 6:30am leaving my dad to talk to my mum :p

Lesson Learnt: Always get someone else to do your dirty work :D Be tight with at least one of your folks at all times :)

Dar was AWESOME....i recommend it to any of you. Anyhoo, while there my friends dared me to go to a cop station and ask for directions to a restaurant. They didn't think I would do it but well,I walked into that buildng like I owned it and told them that we are Kenyans lost in their town and we were looking for a certain restaurant. They looked at me, DAZED........as in for real, who goes to a cop station to ask for directions....APPARENTLY, I'm the only one who does that!(if you do, please prove that I'm not crazy by sharing in the comments box!!) Then all of a sudden, they all burst into laughter, engaged me in some chit chat and we were given a PERSONAL escort to the restaurant! good times good times :) If I pulled the same stunt in Kenya, I'm sure the kenyan cops wouldn't run out of colourful words (read: FOUL LANGUANGE) to inform me of the INAPPROPRIATENESS of my query!lol

Oh yea, as I was saying.....today is Friday, my pals are in Nairobi...we are definitely going to paint the town in RAINBOW colours. My weekend officially begins with a shot of vodka, lemon and soda please :)
